Golf is one of the many activities that Sedona is famous for. The city has a total of five courses, so finding Sedona golf front homes is relatively easy. In the city of Sedona itself, there are two golf courses--Seven Canyons and Poco Diablo. Seven Canyons is a very upscale community, with both single-family homes and luxury townhouses. In addition to the excellent Weiskopf-designed golf course, residents can take advantage of regularly scheduled golf clinics, as well as private lessons. There is also a state of the art fitness center and the Mii Amo destination spa.
Poco Diablo is a resort with beautiful guest rooms and villas. The resort is known as being friendly to both kids and pets. The nine-hole course was designed by Arthur Jack Snyder. Golfers of all levels will appreciate the carefully manicured landscaping, nestled in Sedona’s famous red rocks.
Three of the courses are located in the Village of Oak Creek. Sedona Golf Resort is a 6,646 yard, par 71 course with fabulous red rock views and great reviews from Golf Digest. The resort regularly hosts tournaments and offers comprehensive golf instruction. After a round, many players head to Juniper Bar & Grille for drinks and a meal.
The course at Oak Creek Country Club was designed by the father-son team Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr. The course has been called Arizona’s best year-round overall golfing experience. The professional staff is known for their high level of customer service. This is a great club to join to make friends with other local golfers, as players can join one of two women’s clubs or the men’s club.
Canyon Mesa Country Club offers a verdant setting in the midst of the red rock desert. The course is shorter than average and is a great choice for experienced golfers looking for a short game, as well as beginners. Families with kids who are learning the game will find this a very accommodating course. The club is also known for being the best value course around, perfect for people on a budget.
Seven Canyons: World class golfing. It's a bit out of town but features the only gated community in the area with a guard at the gate.
