Adults 55 and over looking for a community of active peers should check out Sedona 55+ active communities. Some communities allow a younger spouse, so be sure to check with each community you’re interested in.
There are several excellent options in Sedona, Cornville, Clarkdale, and Cottonwood. Most of the communities are made up of manufactured homes. The newer manufactured homes are very high quality. They have all the goodies you expect from Sedona real estate, including tile or engineered wood floors, upgraded kitchens, and a luxurious master suite, complete with a spa-like ensuite bathroom. These homes are one-story tall, so they’re great for anyone and especially those with mobility challenges. Typically, homes in 55+ communities have two or three bedrooms and two or three bathrooms. There’s enough room to have family visit and to set aside space for hobbies or a home office.
Verde Santa Fe in Cornville has two 55+ communities. Dorado consists of 96 single-story homes with views of Mingus Mountain and the community’s golf course. The gated community offers extra security. The Villas is the other 55+ community. These are townhouses with spacious interiors, golf course views, and views of Mingus Mountain, too. The Villas has its own community pool, and all Verde Santa Fe residents can take advantage of the facilities and activities at the Clubhouse.
Those looking for Sedona 55+ active communities should be sure to see Sedona Shadows, right in the city itself. The mobile home community has lots of great amenities for residents. Keep fit at the fitness center, go for a swim in the huge pool, or relax in the hot tub. Play billiards with friends, have a picnic, or head to the clubhouse for club meetings and events.
Another community to see is Pine Shadows in Cottonwood. This neighborhood consists of high quality manufactured homes and all the amenities you want. Go swimming in the indoor pool, hit the links for a round of golf, or play tennis, shuffleboard, horseshoes, or billiards. The tightly-knit community has lots of scheduled events, so it’s easy to make friends and feel connected.
