Sedona’s Oak Creek Canyon is best known for it’s recreation. Fishing, hiking, swimming and more. Some of the notable locations is Slide Rock State Park, Midgley Bridge, West Fork trail, Grass Hopper Point and the ‘you catch’ trout farm ($).
It’s also noted for cooler summer temperatures and easy access to Flagstaff. There are a limited number of homes in the Canyon. Sometimes to reach them you might need to drive through the creek. Oak Creek Canyon does have it’s own Fire House run by the Sedona Fire District.
Not to be confused with the Village of Oak Creek to the South.
