The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) through Yavapai College has a variety of classes and workshops available to those 50 and older living in Sedona real estate. These offerings are a terrific way to meet and connect with others who are 50 and over. Stay active and involved while attending classes and workshops. The schedule for 2021 winter classes and workshops is available and lists offerings from January 25th through March 5th. Due to the pandemic, all classes are online.
If you are new to this program, consider a trial membership. This option is open to first time members only. For only $10, gain access to member-only programming and also purchase OLLI courses a-la-carte for two terms. Multi week classes cost either $30 or $35 and one time workshops cost $15. There are also many free workshops to take advantage of as well. The membership also allows for a-la-carte pricing for culinary classes through Prescott OLLI that are available to Sedona Verde Valley Members. All classes are offered on Zoom. All members of OLLI can take a complimentary Zoom orientation class to learn how to use this technology. These classes are offered weekly and there is also a tutorial and guide sheet that can be downloaded. Topics for available winter classes include active mind and body, arts, computer and technology, finance, economics, and law, health and nutrition, history and current affairs, nature and the outdoors, philosophy and religion, science and math, self-enrichment and lifestyle, social security and medicare, and writing, literature, and languages.
