Safe and socially distanced activities outside of Sedona homes are difficult to come by, but the Sedona Heritage Museum is stepping up to the challenge. Come out for Voices from the Grave, a “ghost walk” at Sedona’s pioneer graveyard. Participants will walk through the cemetery, being escorted by masked pallbearers. Be on the lookout for local ‘ghost’s (played by professional actors) who will be eager to tell their tales of adventure while trying to make a life for themselves in Sedona. Some stories will be hilarious, others heartbreaking, but everyone is sure to learn something and have a greater appreciation for the pioneers of Sedona real estate.
Sedona Real Estate Owners Sign up for a Ghost Walk Event
This event will take place on October 23rd and October 24th at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The admission price is $20. Hear the stories of James A. Jackson, Sedona Schnebly, Hendy Red Hedges, Nettie Van Deren, Jesse Elmer Purtymun, and Margaret Elizabeth Pirtle. Everyone who comes to the event will get a bag filled with treats compliments of the Sedona Fudge Company, Gayle’s Chocolates, and Sedona Heritage Museum. Sponsors of this event include El Portal Luxury Hotel and Sefton Engineering.
All participants will be required to wear masks and socially distance from staff and other participants. Be prepared for the weather and to walk for an hour on uneven surfaces. Know that this program is not intended for children under 13 years of age, so plan accordingly. This is a fundraiser to support this museum and tickets can be purchased for your desired date and time slot online.
In addition to this fundraiser, the museum is open to visitors to the area and everyone living in Sedona homes. Stop in any day of the week between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The number of visitors is limited with spacing between parties. Please wear masks, utilize hand sanitizer, and keep your distance. Audio tours are available on your own device.
