People living in Sedona have fun at Posse Grounds Park.Anyone living in Sedona looking for a fun place to go outdoors, head to Posse Grounds Park. The park gets its name from the fact that it was the staging ground for the sheriff’s posse. Today, there are lots of facilities for staying fit and active. Kids will love the huge playground, with plenty of places for climbing, sliding, and playing pretend games. Pack a picnic to enjoy at one of the 10 shady ramadas. You can also rent a ramada to host a party and keep the mess out of your Sedona home.

If you’re looking for a free workout, check out the fitness trail. There are four stations with machines that work both upper and lower body, increase core strength, and work on balance. You can find YouTube videos that teach how to create a full workout, too. There are two tennis courts, open on a first come, first served basis. One of the courts is striped for pickleball as well. Get a group of friends together for a game of volleyball in the sand volleyball court. There’s also a basketball court and two softball fields. Lights can be turned on at any of the courts for evening games.

The Bike Skills Park is also part of the park. Kids can practice and learn on the Tot Loop. Those who want to work on jumps and other skills can ride at the Pump Park or try the Flow Trail, the Tech Flow Trail, the Bump Jump Trail, or the Double Slalom Trail. A Skill Zone and Jump Zone are both still being built. Visitors can also bring their four-footed friends to the Dog Park to run around.
