Artists living in Sedona go to the plein air fest.Art enthusiasts living in Sedona are invited to take part in the 16th Annual Sedona Plein Air Festival. This event will take place online October 24th through 31st, 2020. The festival will be unique not only because it is all online, but also because it will be an all woman event. Each artist that is participating in this festival will send in work from their own location. These works will be presented in the Arts Center’s online Gallery. At the end of the festival week, there will be an awards ceremony conducted by Lyn Boyer, a popular plein air artist from Colorado.

As the artists submit their work, they will also send along a short narrative that describes their creative process and why they chose the place they did to paint. Those hoping to purchase festival artwork can do so all week long. Since this event is virtual, everyone living in Sedona can participate, but it is also a wonderful opportunity to include other art lovers from across the country. In addition to viewing the works, there will also be several online events. The opening event will take place on Saturday, October 24th from noon to 1 p.m. This event will include a chance to meet the artists who are participating.
